Fit “Original”

I was on my way to paint in the streets of San Francisco with a limited palette of what I’d call “happy colors.” Just before I started, I got into a disagreement with my girlfriend, and suddenly I wanted to paint how I actually felt.

The problem was, my colors didn’t match my emotions.

Instead of changing the palette, I decided to work with the contradiction. The result became an expression of what it feels like to carry heavier emotions beneath a surface that appears bright, playful, and full of energy.
